SPD investigates a homicide in the 500 block of W. Gwinnett Ct.

SAVANNAH (Nov. 7) – Savannah Police Detectives are investigating a Nov. 7 shooting in the 500 block of W. Gwinnett Court that left one adult female deceased.

SPD responded to the scene at around 8:45 a.m. based on a report of gunshots.  Officers discovered a victim suffering from what appeared to be life-threating injuries. The victim was transported to Memorial Health University Medical Center for treatment, but later succumbed to her injuries.

A crime scene was established, and witnesses were interviewed.  No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.  Anyone with information should call CrimeStoppers, 912-234-2020.
