SAVANNAH, GA. (April 28, 2023): Savannah Police detectives have charged three teens in connection to a series of gun-related crimes that occurred between mid-March and early April.
The three male suspects, who are ages 13, 14 and 16, were identified and booked into RYDC in connection to seven crimes. Their names will not be released due to their age.
On March 14, officers responded to a report of an armed robbery of a person at E. Anderson and Lincoln streets. The suspects stole the victim’s wallet, phone and the bicycle he had been traveling on at the time of the robbery.
On March 19, officers responded to a report of an armed robbery of a person at Habersham and E. Duffy streets. The suspects stole the victim’s wallet and phone.
On March 20, officers responded to an attempted armed robbery of a person at Lincoln Street and E. Park Avenue. The victim was able to shove the armed suspect and get away before his items were taken.
On March 25, officers responded to the armed robbery of a person in the 1500 block of Habersham Street. The suspects stole the victim’s backpack and wallet.
On March 26, officers responded to the 200 block of E. 31st Street for a ShotSpotter call and discovered that an armed suspect had fired a gun several times while in an argument with a known person. No person or property was struck.
On April 3, officers responded to the 1100 block of Abercorn Street and uncovered video evidence of an armed robbery of an individual. The victim did not report the incident to police.
On April 4, officers responded to the armed robbery of a person at E. Duffy and Abercorn streets. The suspects stole cash and struck the victim in the head during the robbery.
