Savannah – The Savannah Police Department has charged Eric J. Williams, 37, in connection with an Oct. 23 home invasion in the 1400 block of E. 40th St. Williams was criminally charged on Oct. 28.
Officers responded at approximately 8:30 a.m. to a report of a home invasion, armed robbery, and auto theft. There were no injuries reported.
Williams was charged with home invasion, two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of kidnapping, two counts of false imprisonment, theft by taking firearm, theft by taking auto, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Williams is currently in custody after his robbery of the E. Victory Dr. branch of Bank of America on Oct. 23.
