SAVANNAH – The Savannah Police Department has arrested 35-year-old Chatham County teacher Paulina Walden on May 1. Walden was taken into custody and charged with improper sexual contact with a student, as well as child molestation.
On April 24, the Board of Education Police Department contacted SPD regarding a report of a teacher having an inappropriate sexual relationship with a student. When administration became aware of the allegations the educator was immediately reassigned to a non-school location with no student contact. Because the alleged contact occurred off campus, SPD assumed lead on the case.
Walden has been transported and booked into the Chatham County Detention Center. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 912-234-2020 or submit an anonymous tip through the SPD mobile app.
