SAVANNAH, GA (August 30, 2018) – Savannah Police’s Criminal Investigation Division is seeking the public’s assistance in a shooting investigation.
Around 1 a.m. Aug. 27, Michael Joseph Gibson III, 30, was shot while outside his residence in the 100 block of Marsh Edge Lane. A residence and vehicle were also damaged by gunfire during the incident. Gibson suffered serious injuries as a result of the shooting.
Detectives are asking anyone who lives within a one-mile radius of this neighborhood, which is located off of White Bluff Avenue, to review surveillance cameras footage from around sundown Aug. 26 to 2 a.m. Aug. 27 and look for any suspicious activity. Some examples of this type of activity includes strange vehicles slow rolling through the neighborhood or prowlers on your property.
