SAVANNAH, GA (December 9, 2018) – Savannah Police detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of a 28-year-old woman the evening of December 8th.
At around 11:35 p.m., officers responded to the America’s Best Value Inn on the 4000 block of Ogeechee Road on report of a shooting. Once on scene, officers located Sandee Warren, 28, suffering from a gunshot wound. She succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
Through the course of the incident, officers located the suspect. The encounter resulted in an officer-involved shooting. As standard protocol, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation was called to handle the officer-invovled shooting investigation. Savannah Police Violent Crimes detectives continue to investigate the homicide of Warren to determine the circumstances that led up to the incident.
