The Savannah Impact Program (SIP) is a collaborative initiative that partners with various agencies to support civilians re-entering society and assist juveniles with everyday living skills, helping them prepare for the future.
This program includes officers from the Savannah Police Department and other partner organizations. Additionally, the Savannah Impact Program provides a range of resources to benefit the community:

As a pertinent part of community engagement, we will be the catalyst for providing quality resources to the community while encouraging self-development and educational growth through community partnerships.
At the Savannah Impact Program, it is our vision to become the entrusted entity for community relations by way of consistency and commitment through a unified approach.



Savannah Impact Program
The following initiatives are organized and run by the SPD’s Savannah Impact Program Division.
Girl Connection
Established in 2024 by Officer Jhamiyah Davis with support from local school counselors and community partners, this program focuses on uplifting and mentoring young women, helping them build a strong foundation for their future.
Police Athletic/Activities League (PAL)
The Police Athletic/Activities League is a nationally recognized program in which members of the police force coach youth ages 5 to 12 in sports, help with homework and provide mentoring services. The purpose is to build character, help strengthen police-community relations, and keep children safe.
Kids Spring & Summer Camp
The Savannah Impact Program annually sponsors both a Kids Spring Break Camp and Kids Summer Camp to provide youth ages 8 to 14 with alternatives to risky or criminal behavior during spring and summer break. These camps combine character building and safety sessions along with field trips and lots of fun activities. Lunch and snacks are provided.
Beyond the Badge: Girls Police Camp
“Beyond the Badge” Police Camp is an exciting opportunity for young women ages 14 to 21 who are passionate about pursuing a career in law enforcement. Participants will engage in light physical training, explore specialized units within the police force, and will gain valuable knowledge in law enforcement education through classroom presentations, hands-on learning, and real-life scenarios.
Young Men Stand
The mission of the Young Men Stand Mentorship
Program is to empower, inspire, and equip young
men in our community with the guidance, support,
and skills necessary to become confident,
responsible, and purpose-driven leaders. Through
meaningful mentorship and positive male role
models, we strive to promote personal growth,
academic success, and long-term life achievement.
Programs & Resources
The Savannah Impact Program collaborates with community partners to provide a multitude of resources and community programs.
“Boots on the Ground” Job Readiness Program
Ladder Strategies and Solutions helps the Savannah Impact Program provide individuals with the tools and confidence to enter the workforce.
CDL & Information Technology Classes
Building Bridges hosts CDL and Informational Technology classes at the Savannah Impact Program every Tues, Wed, and Thurs from 6 PM – 8 PM.
Fast Track Manufacturing Training Course
Offered by Savannah Tech and WorkSource Georgia. Training starts Sept 2, from 6 PM – 9 PM, 3 days a week for 6 weeks at the Savannah Impact Program.
Friday Food Drive
Every Friday starting at 10am, the Savannah Impact Program hosts a food drive with the Ceceline Blake Foundation behind the 2005 Waters Ave. building until food is gone. Closed on federal holidays.
GED Classes
Savannah Technical College provides scheduled GED classes for the public at the Savannah Impact Program. Available Class Options: Monday – Wednesday: 6 PM – 9 PM.
Interview Rent-a-Closet
The Savannah Impact Program has a wardrobe to provide job candidates with regular access to clean, interview-ready clothes. Donations of clothes, shoes, and accessories all welcome.
Women’s Self-Defense Course
A KATMA Defense-sponsored women’s self-defense course is offered at SIP for women and girls ages 12-years-old and up.

Teen Maze brings together youth, parents, educators, first responders, and community partners to create a safe, structured and hands-on environment to navigate real-world scenarios. By seeing how choices lead to different outcomes, teens gain a deeper appreciation for thinking ahead and making responsible decisions.
