Savannah – The Savannah Police Department is investigating an Oct. 22 fatal traffic accident at Abercorn St. and E. 63rd St. that left an adult male deceased.
Officers arrived at the scene of the accident at around 6:55 p.m. and found a pedestrian unresponsive after being struck by a vehicle. The man was provided initial medical aid on-site and transported to Memorial Health University Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The driver of the vehicle remained on scene. No arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information should call CrimeStoppers, 912-234-2020, or submit an anonymous tip through the SPD mobile app.
