As part of the Savannah Police Department’s mission “To Serve, Protect, and Build Trust,” the officers of our Community Engagement Division proactively focus on relations-based policing with our community.
We provide opportunities to build these relationships through coordinating and participating in community events, partnering with schools and organizations, and assisting with programs that benefit our local youth and senior populations.
Some of these programs and events include, but are not limited to:
- Blue Light Fright Night
- Child Car Seat Safety
- City Clean-Ups
- Coffee with a Cop
- Easter Eggstravaganza
- Literacy Festivals
- Love Thy Neighborhood
- Neighborhood Safety Meetings
- Roll Call in the Street
- School Career Days
- Senior Spring Fling
- Toyland
- And more!

Neighborhood Resource Officers
Each precinct has an associated Neighborhood Resource Officer (NRO). An NRO works with the local community to address non-emergency concerns, becoming involved and aware of the specific needs of their neighborhoods in an effort to prevent and reduce crime.
