SAVANNAH – The Savannah Police Department has arrested 36-year-old John Coleman on Dec. 31 in connection with a fatal shooting in the 600 block of W. Gwinnett St. that occurred on Dec. 28, 2025.
Officers responded to a shooting at approximately 6:18 p.m. Upon arrival, the adult male victim was found outside a residence, suffering from gunshot wounds. Life-saving measures were immediately attempted, but he ultimately succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene.
Coleman has been charged with murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
