SAVANNAH – Alfonso Warner, 40, has been arrested on Dec. 4 in connection with a fatal shooting in the 1400 block of Benton Blvd.
On Nov. 29 at around 5 a.m., officers were called when a woman reported she was driving a man to the hospital after he’d been shot. First responders met them on the way and took over care before the victim ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
Police confirmed the shooting took place in the 1400 block of Benton Blvd and was not a random act, but rather an arranged meeting.
With the assistance of the U.S. Marshals and Richmond Hill PD, Warner was taken into custody on Dec. 4 without incident. He has been charged with murder and aggravated assault.
