AVANNAH (Sep 5) – Savannah Police Detectives are investigating a Sep 4 shooting near the intersection of Smart and Cleland Street that resulted in the death of one male victim.
At around 8:20 p.m. SPD officers responded to the scene and discovered an unconscious victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Life saving measures were rendered and he was transported to Memorial Health University Medical Center in serious condition. He later succumbed to his injuries.
Police are pursuing numerous leads, but no arrests have been made at this time. Anyone with information should call CrimeStoppers at 912-234-2020.
