SAVANNAH, GA (July 8, 2013): The Animal Control Division of the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department will be providing inoculations, heartworm testing and micro chipping of dogs and cats at discounted prices this Saturday.
The Summer Vaccination Clinic will be held from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the Animal Control Center at 7211 Sallie Mood Drive behind the Humane Society.
Vaccinations, including rabies, bordetella, DHPP for dogs and FVRCP for cats, will cost $5 each. Heartworm testing, microchips and nail trims will be available for $10 each.
Animal Control officers will be on hand to help handle the cats and dogs. All dogs brought to the clinic must be leashed or kenneled and those prone to biting must be muzzled. Cats must be brought in carriers.
During the clinic, the center also will be open for pet adoption.
