SAVANNAH, GA (December 22, 2014): Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) officers from the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department are investigating a two-pickup crash that left one man dead this morning.
Gary Hill, 71, of Savannah was ejected and was transported to Memorial University Medical Center after the 8:45 a.m. crash on Fort Argyle Road at Panther Lane. He died at the hospital soon after.
He was driving a 1989 Isuzu pickup west on Fort Argyle Road when he lost control of the pickup that crossed the center line into the eastbound lane of traffic. The small pickup was struck by a 2012 Dodge dully pickup driven by a 44-year-old Hazlehurst man.
The two passengers in the Dodge truck were transported for treatment of minor injuries.
MAIT officers will continue to investigate the crash.
