SAVANNAH, GA ( June 13, 2011) Loud music led to the arrest of a Savannah man early Sunday morning after he attempted to eat some of the evidence.
Just after midnight a downtown precinct officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at East Park Avenue and Ott Street for loud music. When the officer approached the vehicle he could smell a strong odor of marijuana. The driver, Dontre GRAHAM, 32, was found to be in possession of prescription pills and was arrested. GRAHAM was searched, handcuffed behind his back and placed in a patrol car to wait for his vehicle to be towed.
Later, when GRAHAM was removed from the car, his hands were in front of him and he smelled of marijuana. The officer noticed that his pants were pulled down. GRAHAM also had marijuana on his underwear, in his goatee, and on his hands. The officer had him bend over and removed a baggie of marijuana the suspect had attempted to consume.
GRAHAM was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana less than an ounce and cited for excessive radio volume from his vehicle. He was transported to CCDC.
