SAVANNAH, GA (March 27, 2013): Three drivers were transported to a hospital for treatment of injuries after a three-car collision on West Bay Street Tuesday night.
Christopher Robinson, 25, and Antionette Cooper, 39, both of Savannah, and Shelton Hills, 46, of Pembroke, were taken to Memorial University Medical Center after the 6:48 p.m. crash. All injuries were considered serious but non-life threatening.
Robinson was driving a gray Chevrolet Impala east on Bay Street near Kirkland Street when he slammed on brakes and swerved to the right lane, striking Cooper’s black Nissan Altima that had backed out of a parking lot. The crash spun the Nissan into the west bound lane and into the path of a silver Cadillac STS driven by Hills.
The Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) of the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department continues to investigate the collisions.
