SAVANNAH, GA (June 1, 2015): Violent Crimes detectives are investigating the shooting of a Savannah teen who may have gotten caught in crossfire of others at a west side apartment complex this morning.
The 15-year-old male was found with gunshot injuries in his mother’s car when West Chatham Precinct patrol officers responded to a call at West Lake Apartments on the 1900 block of Westlake Avenue about 11:30 a.m. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.
Investigators are trying to identify the participants, and are particularly interested in descriptions of any cars seen leaving the area around that time. They also are interested in talking to occupants of an orange Pontiac Grand Prix and a small, silver, four-door sedan seen driving away about the time of the shooting.
