SAVANNAH, GA (January 23, 2011): Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police are investigating a traffic accident that left an 18-year-old Liberty City man dead Sunday morning.
Trevor Wendell King of the 1900 block of Quincy Street died instantly when the 2003 Honda Accord he was driving overturned several times on Victory Drive between Bull and Whitaker Streets, ejecting him.
Sgt. Anthony Gallo of the SCMPD Major Accidents Investigation Team said the Honda was traveling West on Victory at a high rate of speed about 4 a.m. The Honda failed to negotiate a curve as Victory crosses Bull, hit a curb and the south east corner of Nevaells Soul Food before overturning several times.
Police are continuing to investigate the accident and the events leading up to it and are interested in talking to the driver of a silver or gray car, possibly a Nissan, that was in the vicinity of the wreck as a witness.
