SAVANNAH, GA (March 2, 2011): Alert Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department patrol officers recovered a stolen tractor on a stolen trailer this morning as they followed up on an alert based on previous thefts.

Police on the lookout for a white “snatch truck” – a tow truck designed for repossessions – noticed the white tow truck pulling the trailer with the tractor on it.

The driver of the tow truck, James Robert Litton, 27, of Claxton, previously employed by the owner of the stolen tractor, was charged with two counts of theft by taking.

The investigation is continuing.
