TIU INVESTIGATES NEW YEAR’S DAY CRASH ON THE TALMADGE BRIDGE

SAVANNAH, GA (January 1, 2019) – The Traffic Investigation Unit is investigating an early morning single-vehicle crash that resulted in three individuals being injured.

At around 3:00 a.m., Richard Rosenberg, 39, of Pembroke was traveling in a Kia Forte north on the Talmadge Bridge when his vehicle crossed the fog line. Attempting to correct the vehicle, he veered back to the left across all lanes of traffic and struck the center concrete divider and guardrail. The vehicle then crossed back to the right across all lanes of traffic and came to a final rest in the median.

Two passengers, Joseph Wiley, 36, and Scotty Vozar, 36, were both seriously injured and transported to a local hospital. Rosenberg was transported with serious injuries as well.

The TIU continues to investigate this incident.
