SAVANNAH, GA (April 2, 2015) A teenager is being sought by Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police after the shooting of a 16-year-old boy Wednesday night.
Robbery detectives are searching for the suspect after Anthony Crawford was shot on the 1300 block of East 39th Street about 7:50 p.m. Crawford was transported for treatment of a wound that was considered non-life threatening.
Investigators said Crawford was riding his bicycle on 39th Street when he stopped to talk to a group of people he knew and the teenager pointed a hand gun at him and demanded his bicycle. After Crawford resisted, he was shot.
The victim rode his bicycle to a house on the 1200 block of East 37th Street where police were summoned.
