UPDATE (December 23, 2020): On Dec. 22 detectives arrested Roniell Paul Millien in connection to this investigation. Millien, 42, has been booked into the Chatham County jail on charges of theft by receiving stolen property and murder.

 

SAVANNAH, GA (December 14, 2020) –The suspicious death of a 29-year-old male has now been determined a homicide after an autopsy was conducted by the Georgia Bureau of Investigations today.  

 

Around 3 p.m. on December 11, officers responded to a call about an unresponsive male on the 600 block of W. 34th Lane. The unidentified male was found deceased. Detectives began investigating this incident as a suspicious death at that time.

The male was later identified as Ian Ferris of North Myrtle Beach, SC. Detectives are following up on leads as they continue to investigate this homicide.
