SAVANNAH, GA (January 2, 2016): Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Violent Crimes detectives have obtained warrants for the arrest of Ronnie Nicholson, 32, in connection to a shooting on the 400 block of West 60th Street that fatally wounded Kawammi Jackson, 36, just before 4 p.m. on Friday.
Metro responded to the scene, finding Jackson on the front porch of a residence he was visiting. The Chatham County Coroner pronounced Jackson dead at the scene.
Investigators believe Nicholson and Jackson were acquainted. A man fitting Nicholson’s description was seen leaving the scene near the time of the shooting. Nicholson faces charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and terroristic threats and acts.
Nicholson is described as a black male standing roughly 5-10. Nicholson is believed armed and dangerous. Anyone aware of his location should call 911 immediately and avoid approaching him.
