SAVANNAH, GA (November 1, 2018) – A suspect in the June fatal shooting of Joshua Thomas has been extradited from Michigan and booked into the Chatham County Detention Center.
About 2:20 p.m. June 14, officers responded to Tuten Avenue between W. Bay and Hudson streets and discovered Thomas, 22, suffering from gunshot wounds. He died as a result of those injuries soon after the incident.
During the course of the investigation, Savannah Police Violent Crimes detectives identified Cyle Talley, 23, as a suspect and issued an arrest warrant for murder. On Oct. 22, Pleasant Ridge (Mich.) Police Department conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver as Talley. Today he was booked into the Chatham County Detention Center on charges of murder.
“Our Violent Crimes detectives have aggressively worked this case since the beginning and are continuing to investigate,” said Major DeVonn Adams. “An arrest has been made but we are continuing to seek information on this case.”
