SAVANNAH, GA (October 10, 2019) – The Savannah Police Department is gearing up for its Third Annual Pumpkin Painting with Police event scheduled for Thursday, October 17.

This event is free and will take place in Daffin Park from 5:30-7:30 p.m. During the event, attendees will enjoy pumpkin painting, a magic show from well-known Savannah magician, Magic Marc, and a special appearance from McGruff the Crime Dog.

Attendees will also enjoy Fall-inspired games, bounce houses, a SPD Special Operations display and receive candy to take home. Costumes are welcome, and guardians are encouraged to bring candy bags for children. Savannah Police officers will also give out trick-or-treat safety tips ahead of Halloween.

Pumpkin Painting with Police gives community members the opportunity to interact with officers in a fun and relaxing environment. This event is meant to encourage positive interactions with police officers and the community.
