SAVANNAH, GA (January 17, 2022) Savannah Police Officers responded to the report of a shooting in the 1100 Block of Graydon Street around 6:00 p.m on January 16.  Upon arrival to the scene Officers located several victims at three different areas within blocks of each other.

In total officers located four victims, ranging in age from 23 to 13 years old.  Most of the victims, including two juveniles received non-life-threatening injuries.  The fourth victim, a 23 year-old female, died as a result of her injuries.

In addition to the victims, five homes and five vehicles received damage from gunfire.  Officers found approximately 60 shell casings at the scene.  The incident appears to have involved a significant exchange of gunfire between individuals.

Detectives continue to conduct interviews and are analyzing evidence from the scene.

Savannah Police Chief Roy W. Minter, Jr. said, “Unfortunately, this is another act of senseless violence that put innocent families and children in danger and resulted in the loss of a woman’s life.  We are asking the public to please come forward with any information that would assist detectives in locating and identifying those involved in this violent act.  So, if you know something, please say something.”
