SAVANNAH, GA (June 2, 2021) – Savannah Police Department detectives have charged four suspects in the homicide of 23-year-old Charles Vinson.
Vinson was reported missing on April 27 and was discovered deceased in the 2900 block of Julia Law Street five days later.
SPD detectives, with the assistance of Chatham County Police Department, worked diligently to investigate the circumstances leading to Vinson’s death. This led to the identification of four suspects.
On May 7, the U.S. Marshal’s Southeast Regional Task Force (SERFTF) apprehended Marquis Raquel Parrish, 27, for the charge of murder. The same day, Carlos Tyriek Roundtree, 26, was served with warrants at the Chatham County jail, where he was already booked on an unrelated charge. Roundtree was charged with tampering with evidence and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in connection to the homicide.
On May 23, Aalyiah Nycole Jahnique Duncan, 22, was arrested on a charge of murder (party to a crime).
Today SPD’s Strategic Investigations Unit and SERFTF arrested Javaris Jevon Roundtree, 24, on a charge of murder.
All subjects remain in custody at Chatham County jail.
The investigation remains ongoing.
