SCMPD Investigates Stabbing At Abercorn St. Hotel

SAVANNAH, GA (December 3, 2016): Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Violent Crimes investigators are seeking information about a stabbing at an Abercorn Street hotel on the morning of Saturday, Dec. 3.

At about 4:30 a.m. Metro officers responded to the Clarion Inn and Suites on the 6800 block of Abercorn Street after reports of a fight. Upon arrival, officers located Thomas Andrews, 49, suffering from a stab wound. Andrews was transported to Memorial University Medical Center with serious injuries.

Identities of suspects and circumstances leading up to the stabbing remain under investigation.
