Savannah Police Seek Identity of Bank Robbery Suspect

APRIL 16, 2018 UPDATE: Frederick Cooks, 46, was taken into custody this morning in connection to the April 10 armed robbery of SunTrust, 2505 Abercorn St. He has been charged with armed robbery.

SAVANNAH, GA (April 10, 2018) – Savanna Police’s robbery detectives are seeking information on an afternoon robbery at SunTrust on Abercorn Street.

About 12:50 p.m. an unknown black male entered SunTrust, 2505 Abercorn St., and gave the cashier a note demanding cash. The note indicated the man had a weapon, but he did not display one. After receiving cash, the subject fled the store.

The subject was estimated to be about 6-feet-tall and was wearing a light brown jacket and khaki pants.
