Savannah Police Seek Identities of Pickpocket Suspects

SAVANNAH, GA (August 30, 2018) – The Savannah Police Department Southside Precinct detectives are requesting the public’s help in identifying two suspects who pickpocketed an elderly woman.

On August 5 at approximately 11:45 a.m., the victim was shopping at Michaels on the 8100 block of Abercorn Street when she was approached by two women. They briefly conversed with the victim before suddenly walking away. Later that day, the victim was advised by her bank of a large purchase at CVS on the 300 block of E. Montgomery Cross Road.

The suspects were seen on surveillance footage using the victim’s card to make a purchase worth approximately $1,000.

One suspect is described as a tall, slender black female, who wore a burgundy shirt and white shorts during the incident. The second suspect is described as a heavyset black female, who wore a burgundy uniform polo shirt and hat during the incident.
