SAVANNAH, GA (October 22, 2020) – Savannah Police Violent Crimes detectives are seeking the public’s assistance locating a suspect in the shooting of a man inside of a store yesterday.

Shortly before 11 a.m., October 21, officers responded to a store on the 2400 block of Montgomery Street on a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they located an adult male victim with shooting injuries. Emergency medical services personnel transported him to the hospital in serious condition.

Further investigation revealed that the suspect, Michael McIver, 29, was in the store when the victim walked in. As the victim walked past, McIver fired shots at him before fleeing the store. Detectives do not believe this is a random shooting as both individuals are known to each other.
