SAVANNAH, GA (October 6, 2020) –Savannah Police made a quick arrest in the shooting of a 21-year-old woman yesterday afternoon.

At approximately 5:15 p.m., October 5, officers responded to the intersection of W. Gwinnett Street at MLK Jr. Boulevard on a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they located shooting-victim, Marian Turner. She was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

Shortly after, an individual, later identified as Tyrek Jackson, 20, was detained in regards to this incident. Today, Jackson was arrested and charged with aggravated assault in connection to this case. Turner is currently in critical but stable condition.
