UPDATE (December 17, 2018): On Dec. 13, Savannah Police obtained arrest warrants for Victor McMillar, 26 in the Nov. 3 shooting that resulted in the death of Donte Chisholm and injury of his wife Desiree Chisholm. Today, with the assistance of the Savannah Regional Fugitive Task Force of the U.S. Marshals Service, McMillar was located and arrested. He has been charged with murder and aggravated assault.
SAVANNAH, GA (November 4, 2018) – Savannah Police’s Violent Crimes detectives are investigating a Nov. 3 shooting on W. 61st Street that left one dead and one injured.
About 11 p.m. officers responded to the 200 block of W. 61st Street for reports of a shooting and discovered Donte Chisholm, 37, and an adult female suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were transported to a hospital for treatment. Donte Chisholm died as a result of his injuries. The female victim remains in critical, but stable, condition.
