SAVANNAH, GA (September 30, 2010): A Savannah man being sought by Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police has been charged with five offenses connected to the robbery of a credit union in Rincon last week.
SCMPD police had sought the public’s help in locating Antwon Johnall Proctor, 30, for questioning in reference to a recent robbery, Wednesday afternoon. Within a few hours Mr. Proctor arrived at Police headquarters after hearing he was being sought through the media. He was questioned by SCMPD detectives and released, but police kept a sharp eye on his whereabouts.
On Thursday, SCMPD detectives apprehended Mr. Proctor on warrants issued by the Rincon Police Department.
Rincon Police Chief Mike Bohannon said Mr. Proctor has been charged with aggravated assault, armed robbery, conspiracy to commit a crime, kidnapping, false imprisonment and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
