SAVANNAH, GA (July 16, 2015): Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division seeks the public’s help in identifying the man who attempted to both rob and sexually assault a 16-year-old girl this morning.

At about 8:32 a.m., Metro responded to the 1000 block of West 51st street. Moments earlier, the teen was grabbed by the suspect who ran away when someone in the vicinity began shouting at him.

The victim fled the area unharmed.

The suspect is described as a black male in his late teens to early 20s. He was last seen wearing khaki shorts, black shoes and a t-shirt over his head and face.
