SAVANNAH, GA. (April 17, 2014): Three men have been arrested and stolen items recovered after alert neighbors teamed with Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police to solve three burglaries Tuesday.
Arrested were Michael Maurice Dillon, 18, of Crystal Lake Drive, Antonio Sevon Jackson, 18, of the 1600 block of East 34th Street, and Rahiem Thomas Rocke, 21, of the 1000 block of West 35th Street. Each was charged with three counts of burglary.
They were arrested by West Chatham Precinct officers about 10:45 a.m. Tuesday in the area of Bluegill Lane and Killearn Court after a resident in the neighborhood reported seeing three males enter a black sedan carrying items from a nearby house.
Patrol officers saturated the neighborhood and located the car with the three men and a collection of guns, a cross bow and ammunition taken from a house on Bluegill Lane. The rear door of the house had been kicked in.
The descriptions of the suspects and vehicle were similar to one reported Monday by another alert neighbor on Katama Way in the same neighborhood off Quacco Road. Two houses had been burglarized there.
The resident of the Bluegill Lane residence had supplied police with serial numbers of the items taken, speeding the identification and return of the items.
Investigators from the West Chatham precinct continue to investigate the burglaries.
