SAVANNAH, GA (December 23, 2010): Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police are searching for a man who shot another man after a family disturbance Tuesday night and have arrested a woman as an accomplice.
Aggravated assault warrants have been filed against Rajahn Akim Amos, 27, in the shooting of James Outland. Amos is black, 6-foot tall, 165 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
Melinda Williams, 26, of the 200 block of Wilder Drive, has been charged with being a party to an aggravated assault after the disturbance at her residence Tuesday night.
Outland, 21, was taken to Memorial University Medical Center with non-life-threatening wounds.
He became involved in an argument between Melinda Williams and her husband William D. Williams, 28, outside the residence when she left in her car and returned. A man in the car with her, now identified as Amos, opened fire and Outland was struck.
William Williams, who was sitting in his pickup truck, backed into his wife’s car and pushed it some 40 yards in an attempt to stop the firing, then took Outland to the hospital in his truck.
Anyone with information on the Amos’ location is asked to call Crimestoppers at (912) 234-2020 or text CRIMES (274637). In the body type, include “CStop2020” plus the tip. Tipsters remain anonymous and may qualify for a cash reward
