SAVANNAH, GA (September 29, 2010): Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police are investigating an accident involving a school bus and 3 vehicles during rush hour traffic this morning.
At 8:00 a.m., a school bus traveling north on Ogeechee Road, with 6 children on board, failed to stop and rear-ended a vehicle stopped at the intersection at Chevis Road. The school bus hit a GMC Envoy with such force that it subsequently hit a Toyota Scion causing it to hit a Chevrolet Impala in line at the traffic light.
None of the children, ages 5-7, had to be transported to the hospital at the time of the accident. Both of the occupants in the GMC Envoy were transported to St Joseph’s Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
