Metro, Victims Family Seek New Leads in 2015 Homicide
SAVANNAH, GA (August 8, 2016): In Summer 2015, Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police launched an investigation into the death of Ricardo James Morris, 38, of Savannah. One-year after of his passing, Violent Crimes detectives and Morris’ family once again ask the public to come forward with new leads in this open homicide investigation.
Morris was last seen in west Savannah on the evening of July 10, 2015. At about 6:30 a.m. the next day, he was found deceased near the 7400 block of LaRoche Avenue. His vehicle was found in Garden City. Suspect information and circumstances surrounding this homicide remain under investigation.
In a joint meeting, at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, August 9, the victim’s family and SCMPD detectives will ask the community for information in this case that could potentially result in an arrest. The meeting will take place in the SCMPD Public Affairs Office.
