SAVANNAH, GA (July 11, 2017) – Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Violent Crimes detectives are asking for the public’s help to solve the murder of Ricardo James Morris, 38.
“It’s never too late for the community to provide information,” said Violent Crimes Detective Jacob Schroyer. “The community’s help is paramount, no matter what stage the investigation is in.”
Around 6:30 a.m. on July 11, 2015, officers responded to a shooting in the 7400 block of Laroche Avenue. They found Morris suffering life-threatening injuries. He succumbed to those injuries at the scene.
Two years after his death, Violent Crimes detectives and Morris’s family are once again asking the public to come forward with any information on this case.
“From the core of my heart, please help us get these cowards off the streets of Savannah,” Morris’s mother Brenda Johnson-Curtis said.
“We will never give up or stop working for him,” Detective Schroyer said.
