SAVANNAH, GA (April 5, 2013): Violent crimes detectives are piecing together details of an early-morning shooting in Tremont Park that left one man in surgery.
Jameer Riley, 22, of a Carter Street address, was transported to Memorial University Medical Center for treatment of gunshot wounds after he barged into a house on the 2100 block of Dodge Avenue seeking help at 3:51 a.m.
Several houses were hit by gunfire and some weapons were recovered.
West Chatham Precinct patrol officers responded to a shooting call on Ford Avenue and found the victim a block away in a house.
Detectives are investigating any possible link to the shooting and a white Chevrolet Impala found wrecked on Tremont Avenue.
The investigation is continuing.
