SAVANNAH, GA (October 4, 2016): Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Violent Crimes detectives are investigating a shooting that reportedly occurred in the area of Stiles Ave and Gwinnett Street on Monday, Oct. 3.

At about 6:45 p.m., Metro officers responded to Memorial University Medical Center, where shooting victim Freddie Holmes, 20, sought treatment of a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

Reportedly, Holmes was walking on Stiles Avenue near Gwinnett Street when shots were fired at him from a dark-colored vehicle. Holmes sought treatment at MUMC more than one hour later.

Detectives are working to determine the shooting suspect’s identity.
