SAVANNAH, GA (January 7, 2017): The Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Traffic Investigations Unit (TIU) responded to a two vehicle collision that also injured a pedestrian on West 60th and Montgomery streets at approximately 8:45 a.m. on Jan. 7.
Kiswana Witcher, 26, was driving south on Montgomery Street in a Kia Spectra alongside Boysie Thomas, 61, who was driving a Ford F-150. Reportedly, a vehicle abruptly stopped in front of Witcher’s vehicle causing her to veer into Thomas’ lane, hitting his vehicle on the left side. The impact caused Thomas’ vehicle to strike pedestrian, Stephen Gardner, 17.
Gardner and Thomas were transported to Memorial University Medical Center for treatment. Gardner sustained serious injuries. Thomas’ injuries were minor.
Circumstances surrounding this accident remain under investigation by the Traffic Investigations Unit.
