SAVANNAH, GA (December 9, 2015): Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Violent Crimes detectives are investigating a Wednesday morning shooting outside of an apartment building on the 1900 block of Skidaway Road, that claimed the life of Michael Holmes, 33.
At about 9:53 a.m. Metro responded to the scene finding Holmes suffering from a gunshot wound. Holmes was transported by ambulance to Memorial University Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased.
Detectives believe Holmes and an unidentified male suspect had an altercation before the suspect shot Holmes and fled.
The suspect is described as a black male in his mid-20s, with a medium brown complexion, a clean-shaven face and dreadlocks reaching past his shoulders. The suspect has a stocky build, stands about 6-0 and weighs about 160 pounds. During the incident the suspect wore a hooded Army fatigue jacket, khaki pants and black shoes.
