SAVANNAH, GA (May 4, 2016): The Savannah-Chatham Metro Police Department Marine Patrol Unit in conjunction with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources will conduct a boating safety course on Saturday, May 21, at the Savannah Mall Conference Room.
The conference room is located on the lower level in close proximity to Burlington Coat Factory. Class will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and include a lunch break. This course is required by law for anyone born after January 1, 1998 who would like to operate any power vessel or personal watercraft on Georgia waterways.
The class is limited to 30 participants who are at least 12 years old. Students must provide their Social Security Card or number to obtain an identification card upon passing the course exam.
This course is hosted on the third Saturday of each month.
