SAVANNAH, GA (June 7, 2016) – Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department Islands Precinct officers arrested three men for gun and drug charges at approximately 1 a.m., June 7, in the 2000 block of Iowa Street.
Two alert officers noticed a suspicious vehicle prowling the area and then parked on the wrong side the street. Following a traffic stop on the suspicious vehicle, SCMPD officers arrested Jamal Skipper, 34, Kenneth Johnson, 50, and Marcus Robinson, 31, with more than 130 baggies of drugs packaged for sale, along with a firearm.
Skipper and Robinson were charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of marijuana, possession of powdered cocaine, possession of crack cocaine, trafficking illicit substances and three counts of possession with intent to sell. Skipper was also charged with loitering and prowling, and driving with a revoked license.
Johnson was charged with possession of a drug related object.
Officers confiscated nearly 100 grams of marijuana and more than 50 grams of powered and crack cocaine.
