SAVANNAH, GA ( June 3, 2011) A man hospitalized with a gun-shot wound is facing burglary charges after breaking into his ex girlfriends house overnight.
Just after 4 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 2100 block of New Mexico Street on report of a shooting. When they arrived they found Jermaine German, 28, on the floor inside the residence suffering from a gunshot wound and a broken ankle.
His ex girlfriend told police that she and her boyfriend, Jaudon McKay, 24, were asleep when she heard knocking on her front door and bedroom window. About 15 minutes later she woke up to a struggle between McKay and GERMAN. She quickly ran out of her bedroom and into her children’s room. That’s when she heard gunshots.
McKay left the residence and called police, he told them about the shooting and met them at the corner. GERMAN was transported to Memorial University Medical Center. He is in stable condition and his injuries are not considered non-life-threatening. charges are pending .
