SAVANNAH, GA (December 2, 2011): A 29-year-old Savannah man has been charged with the robbery of a convenience store and police are investigating similarities to another robbery after his arrest Friday.
Aubrick Hagins, last known by Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police to have lived on the 500 block of West 42nd Street, has been charged with armed robbery of Chu’s convenience store on the 10,000 block of Abercorn Street about 5:30 a.m. Nov. 24.
Police also are comparing similarities between that robbery and another this week.
U.S. Marshals took him into custody Friday at the restaurant where he works on warrants from the first robbery filed by SCMPD robbery division detectives.
In the Chu’s robbery, a man with matching description, went into the store about 5 a.m. and eventually pulled a weapon, threatened the clerk and took money from the registers before running away from the store.
