SAVANNAH, GA (April 18, 2016): Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Major Accident Investigations Team is investigating a wreck that left a man severely injured, Sunday evening.
Just before 7 p.m. Franklin Stephens, 49, was traveling northbound on White Bluff Road on a 1990 Harley Davidson Ultra Classic. Reportedly, Stephens was traveling at a high rate of speed weaving through traffic when he collided with the rear end of a 2009 Toyota Camry stopped at the red light at Mall Way.
Stephens was transported to Memorial University Medical Center with serious injuries and is currently listed in critical condition. Elaine Williams, 38, the driver of the Camry, had no reported injuries.
This wreck remains under investigation by MAIT.
