SAVANNAH, GA (December 9, 2016): Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Major Accident Investigations Team is investigating a morning wreck that claimed the life of one man, Dec. 9.
At approximately 6:53 a.m., a 1998 Honda Accord was traveling east on Fort Argyle Road while a 1992 Mack Dump Truck was traveling west on Fort Argyle Road. At some point, Brentley Knight, 25, the driver of the Accord, attempted to make a left turn into a parking lot near Gateway Boulevard. James Moore, 61, the driver of the dump truck was unable to avoid the vehicle causing the truck to collide with the passenger side of the Accord. Patrick Glisson, 48, was a passenger in the Accord.
Knight, Moore and Glisson were all transported to Memorial University Center for their injuries. Glisson succumbed to his injuries. Moore and Knight sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
This incident remains under investigation by MAIT.
